No More Procrastination,

Spring Cleaning Motivation

Warmer weather, gentler breezes, and sunny skies have us itching to be outside.  Soon, it'll be barbecues and picnics, running and playing outside, and soaking up the rays, but now is also a great time to spring clean too.  You know.  Spring Cleaning.  Where we try to wipe up 6 months of grime we've successfully ignored all winter.  Here a few ways to help you getting started and soon you'll be enjoying the brighter days, inside and outside.

1. Where to Start
There's so many types of people, its not really fair to say to always start in one specific place or with one specific task.  If you get energized with success, try starting in your favorite room.  You'll be more willing to clean it first and it will encourage you to continue to other spaces in your home.  If you're a procrastinator, or are dreading a particularly difficult or distasteful  task, tackle it first.  Get it over with!  The rest will seem like a spring breeze.

2. Open Up
Open up those windows while you work, maybe even through your whole house.  The fresh breeze will lift your spirits the cooler air will keep you energized longer.

3. Soft Surfaces
When we relax at home, we're frequently on soft surfaces.  The sofa and other furniture, bedding and pillows, and even carpet and rugs.  Give these a good fluffing, airing, and vacuuming.  Your relaxation will be more enjoyable and encourage you to keep it going.

 4. Party
Inviting people over is the age old method of forcing yourself to clean, so go ahead and plan to celebrate spring together!
